This is accomplished through three patent-pending technologies:

  • App-ID technology identifies nearly 700 applications, regardless of port, protocol, evasive tactic, or SSL encryption;
  • User-ID technology integrates with Active Directory to identify every user of every application; and
  • Content-ID prevents a wide range of threats, blocks unauthorized file transfers, and controls web surfing.

The scalable, purpose built PA-4000 Series and the PA-2000 Series platforms integrate all these features and range from 500Mbps to 10Gbps in throughput capacity.
