Extreme Networks’ Paul Phillips joins Data Integration as Public Sector Practice Director
- Date
- 27 August 2009
To bolster
its commitment to the UK public sector, network services specialist Data
Integration has today announced the appointment of Paul Phillips in a
newly-created position as Public Sector Practice Director. Ex-Head of Extreme
Networks UK and Ireland, Phillips will be responsible for the development of
Data Integration's public sector customers and
propositions.
Paul Phillips says, “I am delighted to
be joining Data Integration. As customers become less interested in the latest
product or feature, greater emphasis is being placed upon the quality of the
service being consumed across the network. This, however requires an expert
understanding of what is actually happening in and across the network. This is a
skill that is increasingly rare as network specialists are bought up by
diversified, generalist IT services companies. Millions of pounds are being
wasted on bad network management and suppliers need to drastically re-think
their long term value proposition to customers to remain relevant in this
environment. Data Integration is uniquely positioned to help customers address
this problem and I am very excited to be adding my sector specific skills to an
already impressive team.”
Phillips will work alongside Data
Integration’s existing sales, marketing and service delivery
teams.
Simon Crumplin, Data Integration’s
Chief Executive, comments, “Paul Phillips is a fantastic new addition to our
team. His unique industry experience and public sector understanding will bring
huge benefit to our customers. Data Integration is already a strong service
provider in the UK public sector and Paul’s appointment will further strengthen
this position, allowing us to be more creative and drive further innovation in
that market."
