Accelerating web applications

Browser-based delivery of enterprise applications is becoming increasingly commonplace and delivers benefits in terms of ease of use, reduced cost of ownership and increased flexibility. However, web-based applications behave quite differently to client/server applications and place a significant burden on servers. Latency across the internet can also slow down page loads and other transactions.

By combining multiple front-end functions into one device, we can increase application availability and return as much as 80 percent of server processing power, reducing the number of systems and licenses required. By offloading these functions from the server and using sophisticated compression techniques we can accelerate web download times by a factor of two, dramatically improving application performance and productivity for remote and mobile users.

In addition to accelerating the application we can also increase application availability by implementing failover mechanisms that enable web sessions to survive server outages and other errors. You can rewrite application code to redirect application flows, accelerate access to specific content and shield users from frustrating 404 and page not found errors.
